What's the future for people with disabilities?

What’s the future for people with disabilities?
I’ve just finished watching Black Mirror on Netflix, for those who don’t know what that is were on series 3 the other 2 series where on Chanel 4, by Charlie Brooker. The stories are always a bit weird. Set a little in the future and looks at technology affecting our lives.
Sorry No spoilers here but in this series there are three episodes which will resonate with people of disabilities or old age and are quite frightening or even exhilarating. My advice watch them and spend a bit of time thinking about them.
One specific story whose side line is about a disabled martyr and the effects this is having on people via technology. It even mentions a news snippet on disability benefits. Another story relates to how society could potentially look at eradicating disabilities quite frightening really. Other episodes looks at old age, euthanasia, and beyond……
In one way it’s all encouraging that a main stream artist based his story lines on potentially what’s happening at the moment. That with the film I Daniel Blake must surely be resonating with the public or will hopefully start too. Or will people just see them as a bit of entertainment?  Are the tides about to turn? Will we as a society start being affected by what’s happening to the vulnerable and poor in our society? Will we shout stop before it’s too late? Or are we going to end up like the one of the broken mirror story?
Watch these programmes, think about what they are saying? The future as always is in everyone’s hands.  It’s up to you and me too choose to make a difference and not live in the empty world of false likes.
